Throughout the last few months of my previous co-op job (see Employment), I had been studying to get my CCNA certification. As it happens for many others, I did not pass the exam on my first try.
Nonetheless, I still plan to become CCNA-certified in the future. The exam was much tougher than I had expected, and when I eventually try again, my study plan will look quite different. Overall, it was a strong learning experience; I took away lots of practical networking knowledge, and re-evaluated my approach to self-directed study.
As mentioned above, I will likely reattempt the CCNA exam at some point in the future. I'm also considering CompTIA's CySA+ or Pentest+ as other certifications I can get down the line.
Any personal projects I work on will be posted on my Projects page.
